40 Hz Gamma Oscillation and Sleep

Ongoing research has explored daily exposure to synchronized 40 Hz gamma stimulation and its relationship to sleep in adult participants. In this study, one hour of daily stimulation was reported as well tolerated across a six-month period.

Participants who received 40 Hz sensory stimulation showed sleep-related patterns consistent with longer sleep duration and reduced nighttime activity, suggesting that rhythmic 40 Hz input may help support natural sleep processes.
